Colorful small songbird in the family Paridae, found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats include foothill and montane temperate forests as well as subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

It has a bright yellow belly, greenish back, and two narrow white wingbars. Forages at middle and upper forest levels, often in pairs or within mixed-species flocks. Its song is a series of whistles, while calls infrequently, a gruff “deedeedee.” Status: Least Concern (LC)
