Garrulus glandarius leucotis is a subspecies of the Eurasian Jay, found from eastern Myanmar to southern Yunnan, Thailand, and central Vietnam. This subspecies lacks white streaks on the wings, has a white forehead, extensive white on the sides of the head, and prominent bright blue patches with fine black barring. The feathers on the crown can sometimes be raised, forming a crest.

It forages both in trees and on the ground, feeding on a wide variety of invertebrates — including many pest insects — as well as seeds, fruits, berries, young birds, eggs, bats, and small rodents. They live in small, noisy flocks. Status: Common throughout its range.
